I'm DeeDee — a wife, mother of five (including surprise triplets!), and parent coach based right here in Costa Mesa. Before any of that, I spent over 10 years in sales and marketing at Xerox — but once I became a mom, I felt overwhelmed and underprepared, and I knew I wanted to bring that same passion into parenting.

My son was a really tough sleeper, and our inexperience as parents made it worse — we didn't know how to help him or read his cues very well, so we ended up going to a sleep consultant ourselves. Around that same time, I started a RIE-inspired class in Santa Monica with my son and fell in love with the philosophy of raising independent, confident explorers. I loved it so much, I drove from Costa Mesa to LA every week to get certified in RIE Foundations Theory. Later, I became certified in Parent Effectiveness Training (P.E.T.) too — a natural next step, since it carries those same principles forward from toddlerhood through age 18.
Life with five kids born within three years of each other was whirlwind — loud, messy, chaotic, and full of love! I worked for years as an Account Executive at Xerox, notorious for having the "boot camp" of sales training--
and managing demanding schedules and accounts translated directly into running our big, busy household. We've lived on the same cul-de-sac for 25 years, and my kids grew up running down that street with 8 to 10 neighborhood kids some afternoons. Today, I teach at New Mom School, run my own private groups, and do individualized coaching. I'd love to help your family find the same connection and confidence mine did.
